AUGUSTA — The Augusta Elks Lodge 964 Holiday Craft and Vendor fair, which raises scholarship money for local high school students, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the lodge, 397 Civic Center Drive.
Each year the Local Scholarship Committee of the lodge raises hundreds of dollars to fund its scholarship program to benefit high school seniors, in their surrounding communities. The craft and vendor fair is one of the biggest fundraisers, providing for nearly four sholarships each spring. Those helping to make it a succes include crafters, vendors, the members, family, friends and the newest group of donors, the Antlers Junior Elk Program for those ages 12 to 20. Entertainer Christina Ariola will be featured from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be more than 50 crafters/vendor tables, as well as fresh wreaths, baked goods, and a special lunch prepared by the Veterans Committee.
