LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus has announced its Education Center classes for November.
Among offerings is a new Ibis Care Program,, which is new technology design to help people with chronic illness take care of themselves at home.
The program has shown to reduce hospitalizations, reduce caregiver fatigue, increase coordination amongst physicians and enhance quality of life, according to those who advocate for it. It’s also almost completeley covered by Medicare.
Sessions will be 9 a.m. to noon, Nov. 1, 8, 20; 1 to 4 p.m., Nov. 7, 27; 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 16. Brenton Stoddart, an Ibis Care navigator will make the presentation and refreshments will be served.
Other programs offered include Medicare 101, Technology for Aging, Crafting with Corinne, Androscoggin Readers Theater, Safe Driving with AARP, Living Well with Diabetes, and more.
