Lewiston Maine Youth Advisory Council seeks ‘city positivity’ sharing

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Youth Advisory Council is continuing its Shine on Lewiston outreach by providing an online submission form for residents and visitors to share city positivity about Lewiston, good things that happen here and all it has to offer.

This is a follow-up to LYAC’s recent “Let’s Get Down to Business – Shine on Lewiston” business interview series distributed through social media. The form, at www.lewistonmaine.gov/positivity, provides a venue for residents and visitors to share “pride in Lewiston” comments.
“LYAC believe this opportunity will shine a positive light on Lewiston and enhance its sense of community,” the group said in a news release.
The group will review entries for appropriateness and publicize them through social media.
The LYAC has suggested topics for those wishing to share experiences:

* Why Did You Move Here;
* Thank a Local Worker;
* Success in Community Gardens;
* What’s Possible in Lewiston;
* Meaningful Heritage Story;
* Proud of My Student(s) Moment;
* Over the Moon Athletic Moment;
* Proud Parent/Grandparent Moment;
* Favorite Lewiston Arts Experience;
* Great Place to Eat/Shop in Lewiston;
* Help from a Neighbor;
* Other.
