Dear folks of Casco and Raymond,
I write today to introduce myself to those of you I have not had the pleasure to meet or talk with. I am State Representative Sue Austin. I have had the honor to represent you in House District #67 for the past four years.
Our towns are very compatible. Growing up in Gray, I am comfortably familiar with Raymond and Casco, which has afforded relationships through work, state/local government and family in both towns. Your town select boards and managers are open and welcoming with me as we work together for you. After joining your town meetings, the management style and leadership I have witnessed with regard to oversight and fiscal responsibility is commendable.
I am seeking re-election because I am qualified, able to engage with a great deal of thoughtful interest and energy in state policy and in your challenges around state issues. I am capable of contributing and making a difference in the lives of our families.
I have been married to Ernie for 48 years. We raised four children, now married, who have blessed us with a dozen grandchildren. It is not difficult for me to relate to concerns on economy, job creation, educational excellence and substantiated spending.
I share my time and make it count. I respond, am present and “accounted for” on your behalf. I ask for your consideration as you prepare to vote. I thank you for this incredible experience engaging and being present for you at home and at our Capitol.
Sincerely, Sue Austin
