RANGELEY — There will be an open house showcasing all the work and improvements from the recent Rangeley Lakes Regional School building renovation Project.
The open house will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the school, Mendolia Road.
The community’s commitment to this building project has given Rangeley a school reflecting how much the citizens of Rangeley value education. The project is providing a positive image and has created a sense of student, staff and parental pride.
Of special interest is the new entrance with needed security and Americans with Disability requirements for doors, the elevator, the walkway and handicapped parking.
The science labs for high school and middle school are updated, expanded and provide the most current safety standards. Allof the bathrooms are now ADA compliant and, with the ADA renovations in the gymnasium locker rooms, long-needed repairs are finally complete. The recent painting, new flooring, exterior curbing, ground work and plans for landscaping are providing more than a facelift.
Most exciting for individual community members is the opportunity to participate in this building project and take it to the next step. As a part of the renovations project, the Building Committee decided to complement the construction project by providing individual opportunities to support the new facility and student learning needs through the non-profit Rangeley School Education Legacy Fund.
Community members interested in supporting quality equipment, upgrading some of the planned improvements, and meeting unanticipated needs can learn about options they can support in small and large ways. Look for information tables at the open house.
