HIRAM — The third annual Trash Can Turkey Roast will be held at noon Saturday Oct. 20, at the Hiram Community Center, 14 Historical Ridge, (off Main Street, Route 117).
Bald Mountain Roasters will cook the turkey. Also on the menu are barbecue pork, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread, dessert, cider and doughnuts. The cost is $8 to benefit Hiram Historical Society. The event will be held rain or shine.
A vintage road grader will be on display.
Great Ossipee Museum will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with two new exhibits on church and school in Hiram. The museum, formerly Mount Cutler School, is at 20 Historical Ridge, across the parking lot from the Community Center.
