Annual Gardiner & Augusta Rotary golf tournament held

VASSALBORO — On Sept. 13, 18 teams of golfers converged on the Natanis Golf Course for the annual Gardiner & Augusta Rotary golf tourament fundraiser.
The two clubs annually conduct the tournament to raise money to support their many charities.

Charities that benefit include educational gifts for local high school graduates, Boys’ and Girls’ State, local food banks, local sports teams, Rotary International Polio Eradication, and many other local and international charities.

The tournament is named in memory of Carl Hubbard, a very active 40-plus-year member of Gardiner Rotary.
Teams included Augusta and Gardiner police departments, Gardiner Federal Credit Union, Kennebec Valley Federal Credit Union, Kennebec Savings, Turner Publishing, Gibson-LeClair LLC, UMA, Gosline-Murchie Agency, Mental Health Access, Choice Wealth Advisors, Goggin’s IGA, G-Town and Dave’s Diner.
