Maine SAD 52 adult education programs planned for October

TURNER — MSAD 52 has announced upcoming Adult Education programs and classes slated to begin in October, including courses leading a credential as well as those for the hobbyist.
General topics include a variety of classes in wellness, arts & crafts and community. MSAD 52 also include Greene and Leeds.

A college transitions course has been developed in response to the need for college preparedness classes and is a bridge program leading to college. These classes have been designed for high school graduates or high school equivalency certificate recipients who intend to apply to post-secondary institutions. College transitions courses are offered each semester. Registration is free, and students pay only for books and lab fees.
A series of “Parent Nights” has been scheduled (Oct. 15, Nov. 13 and Dec.9) to assist with filling out financial aid and scholarship forms as well as college applications.
