LEWISTON — “Working the Workforce Seminar: Understanding Substance Use Disorders,” will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, offered by the Lewiston-Auburn Metro Chamber of Commerce.
The seminar will be held that LA Metro Chamber office, 415 Lisbon St., and will be presented by Nicole Garant, adult and child clinical services manager for Tri-County Mental Health Services.
The seminar is for both employers and employees concerned about the effects of substance abuse, and will offer information on substances and the effects they have on someone who is under the influence as well as withdrawing, the lethality concerns of certain substances, a deeper focus on opiates and medication assistant therapies, stages of change, levels of care and area resources for employees who may be addicted.
