NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has many activities planned for October, including an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16.
The open house is open to the public. The center is in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic building at 199 Main St.
Registration for the second annual Turkey Trot scheduled for Nov. 22 is also now open. Volunteers are also needed to assist in a variety of ways — preparing runner bags a day or two before the race, helping with set up the day before the race and morning of race, assisting with the water stations, registration table and food table, plus helping with clean up.

Yoga Warriors returns as a weekly Wednesday 3 p.m. class at Posabilities. Suzanne Hardy will offer a free paint with water colors class on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m., Beading at Lively Accents returns Tuesday Oct. 30 at 1 p.m., and pumpkin carving is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m.
Other activities include a women’s cancer support group, caregiver support group, men’s rally group, and a variety of craft and other classes. Programs are offered at the center unless otherwise noted and are free to anyone impacted by cancer, survivors and caregivers. New visitors are welcome to stop by on drop-in days and to participate in one or all programs.
