Ski Museum of Maine Camden exhibit looks at state’s skiing history

KINGFIELD — The Ski Museum of Maine and Camden Public Library are teaming up on an exhibit, “The Mountains of Maine: Skiing in the Pine Tree State.”
The exibit will be displayed in the Jean Picker Room at the library, 55 Main St., Canden, throughout October. The opening reception will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.

The exhibit is dedicated in memory of John Christie, a Camden native and avid skier, who was a visionary and friend of the museum. The exhibit celebrates the development of skiing in Maine – the adventurers, manufacturers, makers and managers who created the skiing experience enjoyed today by many.
