TURNER — Turner Public Library will host “Authentic Personal Branding for Women: Be Known for Who You Are,” with Silicon Valley executive and entrepreneur coach Sonya L. Sigler.
The workshop, which is free and open to women age 16 and older, will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8.
For many women, speaking about themselves can be difficult. However, the need for women to confidently advocate on their own behalf has never been more vital to their personal and professional lives. Focusing on ways in which women can communicate who they are, what they’ve achieved and what their goals are with confidence and clarity, Siglerr will offer her expertise on empowered communication strategies for women.
The highly interactive workshop will teach transformative tools to build confidence when speaking about accomplishments in job interviews, at conferences and meetings, and in everyday situations. Participants will create authentic, powerful and memorable personal branding statements that articulate personal values, communicate accomplishments, target specific audiences, and invite further conversation.
Sigler earned a BA from the University of California and a juris doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law. With more than 25 years of in-house and corporate legal experience with global companies such as SEGA/Genesis, Intuit, Discovia and Cataphora/Ernest&Young, she is an operations executive who consults with start-ups and other companies seeking to grow quickly or reinvent themselves, focusing on strategic planning and the implementation of solutions to difficult and seemingly intractable problems. As part of her consultation practice, she is an executive leadership and business coach for women CEOs and senior executives, even high school students readying themselves for promising futures.
Sigler is a frequent writer and speaker on legal-related topics like artificial intelligence and data analytics. She has taught statistics and linguistics to lawyers. She also speaks and trains others on business and career planning, rainmaking, grant writing, fundraising,and advocacy. She is a staunch supporter and advocate for women, and girls, in technology and has founded or been on the board of a women’s group since she began her career.
