Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice volunteer training set

LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice is holding volunteer training in the coming months.
Volunteers are needed for the hospice program, home visits, the Hospice House and visits to nursing facilities.

Androscoggin volunteers provide companionship to patients, respite for family members, and special requests. Androscoggin also seeks Veterans to visit with other Veterans, Reiki volunteers, Pet Therapy volunteers, Cosmetology and Reflexology volunteers.
Training sessions include:
Lewiston Hospice: 9 a.m. to noon, Sept. 17 to Oct. 8, at AHCH, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston.
Harrison Online Hospice: 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 2 to 17, Adult Education in Farmington.
Farmington Online Hospice: Oct. 12 to 26, Adult Education, Farmington.
Lewiston Online Hospice: 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18 to Nov. 1, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston.
Bereavement Training: 1 to 4 p.m., Oct. 18 to 26, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston.
An application and interview are required. Ongoing training and support is provided. Volunteers are required to provide two to four hours of service each week for a year commitment.
