BETHEL — Mahoosuc Land Trust is looking for special photographs and original art work expressing the uniqueness of the environment, people and communities of Western Maine. This year’s theme is “Calling Maine Home.”
All entries will be displayed at the Mahoosuc Land Trust office, 162 North Road as part of MLT’s celebration of “Great Maine Outdoor Weekend.” There will be an art show preview from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Land Trust office. Light refreshments will be served. Artists will be available for a meet-and-greet.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, the art show will continue with selected works available for sale.
All work will remain on display and available for sale until Friday, Oct. 19. Plein Air artists are also welcome to demonstrate their craft during Sunday’s event.
In its fifth year, the “Art Celebration of Nature” has had more than 55 exhibiting artists and photographers. There will be first and second place prizes for photography and art work. To learn more or receive entry guidelines, contact Barbara Murphy at 207-824-3806 or barbara@mahoosuc.org.
