Wood carving, bean-hole bean supper Sept. 8 in Sumner

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will hold a bean hole bean public supper at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, in conjunction with Camp and Carve Weekend.

The Western Maine Woodcarvers will be camping on church grounds from Friday to Sunday. They will be carving, instructing new carvers, and selling their carvings.
The meal will include baked beans, hotdogs, salads, desserts, coffee and punch, as well as a raffle. Admission is $8 per person; under 12, $3; under 5, free. The maximum charge for a family is $22.
Proceeds will benefit the outreach missions of the church, at 50 Main St., Route 219, in East Sumner.
