LEWISTON — Knights of Columbus Council 106 will host a paper crafting and scrapbooking fundraiser to benefit Coats for Kids from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in the function hall at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St.
The event will be led by Corinne Saindon, an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. The day will include drawings and two “make and takes.” Beverages and snacks will be provided. There will be a potluck meal, but anyone who prefers not to participate can bring a lunch.
The deadline to register and pay for a secured spot for the event is Saturday, Sept. 1; checks for $30 should be made payable to KC 106 and mailed to James Sutton, P.O. Box 1622, Lewiston, ME 04241-1622. Admission on the day of the event will be $35.
Ninety percent of the profits will be donated to the Coats for Kids drive, and this is the second year the council has hosted a crafting event. “We were able to get coats for close to 100 kids,” noted council member Leo Baillargeon.
