Maine author Brechlin to speak at CV Library

CARRABASETT VALLEY — Author and Registered Maine Guide Earl Brechlin will read from his new collection essays about Maine, the power of family and the search for meaning and renewal in the embrace of wilderness at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library.

Brechlin will be at the library at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24.
“Return to Moose River, In Search of the Spirit of the Great North Woods,” released this summer by Down East Books, a division of Rowan and Littlefield, includes more than a dozen narrative nonfiction essays chronicling adventures across the breadth of Maine.
Along with the reading, Brechlin will share a slideshow showing the connections between the great figures of Maine’s outdoor heritage. He will also have books for sale and signing.
