LEWISTON — The second Lunch Time in Kennedy Park, which includes music and other features, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.
The event arose out of a conversation earlier this year about ways to increase use of the park, said Dottie Perham-Whittier, community relations coordinator for the city. “It’s a community-builder, fun event,” she said. “People can bring their own lunch, pick up something to eat from a local eatery, or purchase food from the on-site Pinky D’s food truck. All are welcome, and we look forward to another enjoyable lunch time.” There is no rain date.
During this month’s gathering, music will be provided by The Mont Sweagers Irish Celtic Band, and Haines Photography will offer a photography display.
Perham-Whittier said the next Lunch Time in Kennedy Park is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28, with additional dates likely added through early fall.
