OQUOSSOC — The Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association will host its annual Outdoor Sporing Heritage day on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
The theme for this year’s activities is fishing and activities will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the clubhouse on Old Skiway Road.
Activities will include fly and spin-casting instruction, fly-tying instruction, an entomology seminar, casting contests and vendors selling fishing equipment and accessories and other outdoor-related items.
The RRG&SA will offer food and soft drinks for sale at lunch.
The schedule is: 10-11 a.m.: Fly-tying instruction on the porch; spin-casting instruction on the pond.
11 a.m.-noon: Fly-tying instruction on the porch; spin-casting instruction on the pond; fly-casting instruction on the pond; entomology seminar in Guide Club House.
Noon-1 p.m.: Casting competition on the pond; hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks available.
1-2 p.m.: Fly-tying instruction on the porch; spin-casting instruction on the pond; fly-casting instruction on the pond; entomology seminar in Guide Club House.
2-3 p.m.: Fly-tying instruction on the porch; Spin-casting instruction on the pond; fly-casting instruction on the pond.
