Western Maine Art Group First Friday reception is July 6

NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group continuies its summer season with a First Friday Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the Main Street Gallery, 426 Main St.
The gallery will exhibit the work of fine artists and artisans living and working in Western Maine throughout the summer.

Featured at the Main Street Gallery in July is the artwork of Connie Ladd-McVey, Western Maine Art Group’s Artist of the Month.
Ladd-McVey is a painter and teacher who specializes in landscape drawing and painting of Maine’s scenic vista. She works out of her Pond Lily Art Studio in Auburn, while teaching two-dimenional art as an adjunct at Central Maine Community College.
During the fall season, she exhibits at local art fairs and shows.She has been working for many years in developing her individual style of painting that fits with her interpretation of each art piece. By the use of different mediums, and detailed effects used in each painting, it has offered a combination of different effects in most of their designs.
The Main Street Gallery is free and open to the public. Its hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. For more information, visit westernmaineartgroup.org and facebook, Main Street Gallery.
