Bridgton parade to kick off at noon July 4

BRIDGTON — Those taking part in the town’s noon Fourth of July parade should be at the staging site, the Hancock Lumber yard, U.S. Route 302, across from the Hannaford supermarket no later than 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 4, organizers have asked.
Other tips for those in the parade:

Parking will be limited around Hancock Lumber, so arranging to be dropped off or carpooling is encouraged. Also, any cars left at Hancock Lumber will get locked in behind the gate once the floats have left the lot.
The parade starts at noon and should end by 1:30 p.m. The parade route runs along Route 302, makes a left at Main Street, goes around the High Street Monument and ends at Highland Lake Beach.
The temperature is expected to reach 94 on Wednesday, so parade participants (and those attending) are encouraged to dress accordingly and be prepared.
