Lewiston’s Trinity Jubilee Center offering free breakfast, lunch for children

LEWISTON — The Trinity Jubilee Center is participating in the Summer Food Service Program, with free breakfast and lunch for children beginning Friday, June 22
Free meals are provided to any child under 18 and meals will be provided on a first come, first served basis. There will be weekly giveaways of toys or groceries.

The soup kitchen will serve the children’s breakfast from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Monday through Friday and lunch from 11 to 11:45 a.m., Monday through Saturday. The breakfast and lunch program will end Tuesday, Aug. 28.
The Summer Food Service Program will also kick off with a week of classes lead by Healthy Androscoggin. Nutrition workshops for adults and children will be held from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. Monday, June 25, to Friday, June 29, which will include cooking, games, and giveaways.
Besides the soup kitchen, the center also has a food pantry, day shelter, medical clinic, assistance with job applications, community workshops and support for people overcoming challenges.
