RANGELEY — The Rangeley Public Library will kick off its summer reading program, “Libraries Rock!” with a move and groove event with Ms. Jenn.
The program is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 5, and those who attend should be prepared to move and groove with a musically themed story, dances with beanbags, rhythm scarves, parachute play, and a musical craft for music making at home.
Children may sign up for the summer reading program at the event. It begins Wednesday, July 11, and 6 to 9-year-olds will meet every Wednesday. Readers 3 to 5 have a choice between Thursdays and Fridays, both beginning at 10 a.m. The first 50 children to sign up will receive a voucher for a free ticket to a Portland Sea Dogs game.
Though the July 5 event is free, since space is limited, the library asks that those planning to attend sign up in advance. Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
