L-A Maine Lunch Club will hear incoming president June 28

AUBURN — Tom MacDonald will be the featured speaker at Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Lunch Club Thursday, June 28.
The club meets from noon to 1 p.m at The Village Inn Restaurant, 165 High St.

MacDonald has more than 30 years of banking experience, primarily in the areas of commercial credit analysis, credit policy administration and enterprise risk management. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in staff development, including designing internal training programs.
MacDonald joined Mechanics Savings Bank in 2006 as its chief risk officer. During this time, the bank has grown from $230 million in assets to now over $850 million in assets managed via Maine Community Bancorp (holding company). MacDonald graduated from the University of Maine at Orono, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, and marketing, and graduated from the University of Southern Maine earning a master’s degree in business administration.
In 2006 he joined the Lewiston/Auburn Rotary Club, becoming treasurer in 2009; his term as president will begin in July. MacDonald plans to continue the club’s involvement in many local programs, including the Great Falls Balloon Festival, the high school scholarship program, Maine Autism Movie event, and Christmas Caroling at Schooner Estates. MacDonald resides in Scarborough with his wife Joelle and two children, Caleb and Lydia.
