AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will host Mad Science of Maine at 6 p.m. Monday, June 25, in the Androscoggin Community Room as the library kicks off its 2018 summer reading program, Sounds of Silence.
The Mad Science Maestro will present an “ear-pleasing show” about the science of sounds.
Kids will open their ears and eyes as they explore sound as it travels through solids, liquids, and gases and listen to the beautiful tones of Mad Science resonance tubes, library officials said.
Kids will even help to recreate an indoor thunder storm.
The Mad Science show is designed to inspire imaginative learning. For more information, call 207-333-6640 ext. 3. This program is best for kids ages 4 through 12.
Children may also sign up for the summer reading program at the science show. The Auburn Public Library is at 49 Spring St.
