TURNER — Music for Mavis will host the Lee Stetson Band 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the gazebo, Turner Center, 98 Mathew’s Way, Route 117, adjacent to the library.
Stetson grew up playing music with his dad and became lead singer and guitarist for The Maranacook String Band, recording two popular CD’s with songs about Maine that received national airplay and sold more than 30,000 copies. Stetson has done many large festivals and played at The Whisky Bent Statoion in Nashville, Tenn., at the age of 15. Joining forces with his father, a guitar player for more than 40 years, they formed the Lee Stetson Band.
Musicians are paid by passing the hat; suggested donation is $5. Bring a chair, bring a blanket, bring a friend.
