Oxford student wins Clarkson University poetry award

POTSDAM, N.Y. — Nathan Starr of Oxford, a senior majoring in engineering and management Clarkson University, received the Major William W. Coleman Memorial Award.

The award was established through a gift by the late Virginia Kent Cummins in memory of the heroism of her grandniece’s husband.
The award consists of a sum of money for the best poem or essay on “Individual Self-Interest Versus the Common Good.”
