Lakes Region school arts festival is May 24, 25

BRIDGTON — The School Administrative District 61 Arts Festival will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 24 and 25, in the Lakes Region High School gym, 1877 Roosevelt Trail.
The event is free and open to the public.

Artwork in a variety of different media, created by the talented students in grades kindergarten through high school will be featured. Thursday will include music provided by the Songo Locks Grade 3 precorder players and the Lake Region Middle School jazz band.
The high school trio, Out of the Blue, will perform Friday with a variety of contemporary and popular selections. Students and adults can have their faces painted and participate in a variety of crafts. Don’t forget to bring a T-shirt to have silk-screened with a whimsical canine design created by a 7th grader, Caitlin Lees.
Local artists will also be on hand, sharing their talents and skills as they demonstrate the various stages of the creative process in a wide variety of media.
