Top Gun Regional Pitch-Off is May 9 in Lewiston

LEWISTON — The L-A Metro Chamber of Commerce will host a Top Gun Regional Pitch Off at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 at the Ramada Conference Center, 490 Pleasant St.
Four teams of entrepreneurs will present five-minute pitches on their business in front of a panel of judges comprised of local public and private sector leaders.

Participants will engage in promoting their business in front of a relevant and appreciative audience. Register to attend at www.LAMetroChamber.com; there is no charge for the event.
Two winners will be selected from the Top Gun LA cohort to advance to the statewide Top Gun Showcase in Portland May 23, where they will compete for a $25,000 grand prize.
Top Gun LA is designed to accelerate entrepreneurial development through a combination of training, mentoring and community engagement. Top Gun identifies high potential entrepreneurs in Maine through a competitive application process in January. In February, they are matched with mentors who help guide them as they continue to develop their innovative products, business models, and companies. The classes of six to 12 entrepreneurs in each location will convene weekly for networking, workshopping and mentor meetings over dinner.
Sessions can include opportunities for pitch practice, brief presentations by experienced entrepreneurs, and lively discussions about such diverse topics as salesmanship, bootstrapping, hiring, firing and legal issues.
