TURNER –Turner Public Library will host a meet and greet with candidates for local offices 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8.
All candidates for open seats on the Turner board of selectmen, Maine School Administrative District 52 school board, and town of Turner budget committee have been invited to participate.
All candidates will be introduced at the start of the evening and given an opportunity to explain why they are running. Attendees will then be welcome to circulate among the candidates to ask questions and discuss priorities. Rather than hold a debate, TPL is looking forward to a relaxed and informative evening, where residents can get to know the candidates prior to the Town of Turner election Friday, May 18. The library staff is requesting residents use this opportunity to discuss general concerns.
