TURNER — Do you have favorite family photographs you wish to protect? Are your digital photos overwhelming your devices?
Photo archiving specialist Cheryl Freye will discuss organizing and preserving photographs Thursday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Turner Public Library, 98 Matthews Way.
Freye has specialized in photo preservation since 2005. She will present information on organizing printed and digital photographs, digitizing old photographs, preserving physical photographs along with the stories that accompany them.
A Pennsylvania native, she has lived in Winthrop since 1982 and currently serves on the board of directors for the Winthrop YMCA and the finance committee at Christ Church in Gardiner.

Additional early May events at the library include Board Game Night, 6 p.m. Friday, May 11,, which features a variety variety of games for all ages, and Story Hour, 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, this time with a Mother’s Day theme for stories, crafts and snacks.
