Butters memorial game is May 24 in Norway

NORWAY — The Don Butters Memorial Game will be played Thursday, May 24, at the Lovejoy Farm Sports Complex. It’s the 10th year the game, which honors Butters, who was key to the field being constructed, has been played.

A ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the game begins at 6 p.m. Butters donated his own time and machinery and was instrumental in getting others to help with theirs, organizers said. He died in 2007. The town’s youth leagues all attend the annual event.
