Maine Education Assocition retired educators convention is May 3

AUGUSTA — Ttelevision personality Bill Green will be the keynote speaker at the Maine Education Association Retired Educators 66th annual meeting and convention Thursday, May 3, at the Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive.

Retirees representing thousands of years of service to teaching Maine’s youth may choose from four breakout sessions — “Positive Outcomes of Hitting a Moose on Maine’s Roadways,” by David Richards; “Keep, Take or Toss,” by Jane Conroy, University of Maine Cooperative Extension; Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, focusing on the East Branch by Paul Johnson, Oakland; and “Around the Horn in 22 Days,” by Phil Gonyar and Carl Daiker.
Green is the host of “Bill Green’s Maine” on WCSH-TV Channel 6, Green grew up in Bangor and has lived his whole life in Maine, attending the University of Maine.
