Western Maine Cancer Resource Center May calendar includes support, wellness

NORWAY — The May calendar of the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine includes a variety of support groups, as well as wellness and art programs.
The center is in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic, 199 Main St. All programs are free to anyone impacted by cancer, survivors and caregivers, and are encouraged to bring a friend with them. New visitors are welcomed to stop by for information any Thursday or Friday and to join in one or all of their activities.

Volunteers are available to provide comfort items such as port protectors, wigs, hats, pillows or look for resources. There are also informational pamphlets and a lending library. The center is also a place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, chat with a volunteer or take time for yourself by participating in scheduled activities. Activities such as coloring, knitting or games are available at all times.
The center also holds drop-in hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday and Friday.
