AUGUSTA — The Augusta Elks Lodge is hosting a Mother’s Day luncheon to support and benefit its scholarship program. Last year, the lodge awarded six $500 scholarships to area high school seniors.
The luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Augusta Elk’s Lodge, 397 Civic Center Drive.
Tickets are $10 and it is open to members as well as guests. The theme is the Kentucky Derby, and those attending are encourage to where their special Kentucky Derby hats.
“Come enjoy a relaxed afternoon of fun, celebrating the special bonds you have with your grandmother, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, nieces and girlfriends,” organizers said. “This special event is all about you, ladies!”
There will be 25-plus vendor tables, a fashion show, psychic readings, a photo booth, table raffles, a bake sale and entertainment as well as lunch.
