EAST WILTON — Wilson Grange is having a Cinco de Mayo dinner, beginning at 5 p.m., Saturday, May 5, at the Grange, on Main Street.
Dinner will include sopa trasaca (a Mecican pinto bean soup), salsa de pollo sobre arroz (mild salsa with shredded chicken over Spanish rice), crea agria un guacamole (sour cream and guacamole) and pan de maíz (jalapeno cornbread).
Dessert will be polvorones (a traditional Mexican wedding cookie) and helado de vainilla (homemade vanilla bean ice cream) and the appetizer will be salsa un papas fritas (salsa and chips). Beverages will include margaritas virgenes (non-alcohol margaritas) and cafe (coffee).
A vegetarian option will be available.
The cost is $10 per person and live music will be provided Chad Waversak on guitar. No reservations are needed.
