BRIDGTON — A shoe clinic for those who have diabetes and need therapeutic shoes will be held at the Bridgton Community CenterFriday, May 4.
The clinic is by appointment, and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It is covered by Medicare Part B and sponsored by Step Lightly and ProMedical. It is oepn to anyone who is diabetic and on Medicare. Those who qualify are entitled to one pair of therapeutic shoes, as well as inserts, each calendar year, paid for by Medicare. The clinic will help participants get measure and pick out a shoe style. All widths are available.
Those attending must bring a Medicare card, their primary doctor’s name, address and phone number; and a primary/secondary insurance card if they have one.
