Franklin County Democrats to host Dion April 8

Apr. 12018

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Democratic Committee will host gubernatorial candidate Mark Dion, of Portland, on Sunday, April 8 at Mallett School.
The meeting will be from 4 to 6 p.m. At FCDC’s March meeting, congressional candidates Lucas St. Clair and Jared Golden addressed a record number of attendees.

The candidates answered questions on topics ranging from the economy and health care to gun violence and immigration. On March 17, more than 100 Democrats from around the county gathered for the 46th Annual Democratic Pancake Breakfast.
The breakfast was attended by gubernatorial candidates Mark Eves, Betsy Sweet and Janet Mills. Voters also met congressional candidates St. Clair, Craig Olson and Golden, along with many local candidates.
The FCDC will fill vacancies for delegates to the Maine Democratic Convention, which is May 18-20 in Lewiston. Any voter in Franklin County who was registered as a Democrat by March 4 is eligible to become a delegate.
Those interested should contact the FCDC or attend the April 8th meeting. For more information about the Franklin County Democrats and upcoming events, visit franklincountydemocratsme.weebly.com, or contact Chair Yvette Robinson at yrobinson@gwi.net.
