AUGUSTA — Maine Adult Education will hold its annual State House Day in the Hall of Flags from 8:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 10.
The event provides the many adult education programs in Maine an opportunity to visit their legislators, organizers said.
Programs will have informational table displays in the Hall of Flags. Several programs will bring groups of adult learners to visit sessions of the House and Senate, tour the State House, and visit the Maine State Museum.
At 9:30 a.m., a program in the Hall of Flags will highlight the many ways that adult education programs have enhanced the lives of participants. Speakers will include State Director of Adult Education Gail Senese; Sen. Brian Langley, R-Hancock, and Sen. Nate Libby, D-Androscoggin, and students from area adult education programs.
All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact the Maine Adult Education Association, info@maineadulted.org or call 207-564-3630.
