AUGUSTA — The Maine French Language Heritage Program and the Augusta Recreation Department will host Springtime in Paris, a fundraising event from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday April 7 at Le Club Calumet, 334 West River Road. Doors open at 5 p.m.
A dinner and auction will be complemented with a performance by mezzo-soprano Joelle Morris. All proceeds will benefit the children’s after school program, as well as French programs at the University of Maine Augusta.
MFHLP is a non-profit, after-school French language program held at the Buker Community Center, 22 Armory St. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays featuring lively lessons with a mission to expose children to the French language, its rich Franco-American heritage in Augusta, in Maine and in different French countries all over the world.
