LEWISTON – The LA Metro Chamber will present an “Energy for Performance” workshop from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, at the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce community conference room, 415 Lisbon St.
he information will be presented by Steve Beaulieu, Janus lab-trained presenter, and Salvatore Bonetti, financial advisor, Baystate Financial.
The Energy for Performance program translates the idea of “elite performance” from sports into business. Based on 30 years of research by the Human Performance Institute, the program focuses on how to train for peak performance — at work and in life. The workshop provides actionable tools to manage energy and stress, as well as help build everyday rituals for success.
Professional athletes typically spend 90 percent of their time training, in order to perform 10 percent of the time. Business professionals typically train 10 percent of the time, yet are expected to perform constantly. The Energy for Performance program delivers ingredients for potentially measurable, sustainable results.
Learn how to:
* Manage stress to your advantage. Stress exposure is the stimulus for all growth. Understand how to expand your capacity to handle the many “storms” in your life and business.
* “Fuel” your body for optimal performance. Learn strategies for managing your energy throughout the day and how to use food as fuel.
* Establish positive rituals to maximize your productivity, roughly 95 percent of what we do is a result of habit and routine. Learn how to build specific performance rituals to increase your energy and effectiveness.
The program is part of the LA Metro Chamber’s Professional Development Series for which the chamber charges a registration fee. Call 207-783-2249 or visit lametrochamber.com to learn more.
