Mar. 132018

LEWISTON — An official ribbon cutting and open house will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Community Credit Union, 144 Pine St.
The event will be held in conjunction with the monthly LA Metro Chamber’s Business After Hours event, which is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Following the ceremony, tours will be conducted by employees of Community Credit Union, showcasing the downtown investment in the Lewiston branch. Marco’s Restaurant will be catering the event with a cash bar available, featuring festive green beer to welcome in St Patrick’s Day.
“Community Credit Union prides itself on our commitment to our members and the community. The renovated offices provide avenues to better serve our members, expand on products and services offered and continue to serve our community as we always have,” stated Jennifer Hogan, CEO/president. “Our investment in Lewiston specifically reinforces our engagement with the positive transformation in the downtown area and neighborhood.”
Community Credit Union is one of many Maine Credit Unions who continue to focus efforts on ending hunger in their surrounding communities, including Good Shepherd Food Bank and two of their backpack/pantry project program participants. Representatives from Longley Elementary School in Lewiston and Washburn Elementary School in Auburn will be onsite during the event, sharing information and collecting non-perishables and canned goods.
