Turner Maine July 3 fireworks fundraisers planned March 21, April 20

TURNER — Fundraisers are planned this year in hopes of raising enough money to hold fireworks on July 3.
The first fundraiser will be Paint and Take Night 6:30 p.m. Wednesday March 21, at Moon Stone Pottery in Auburn.

At 6 p.m. Friday, April 20, a group reading by medium Gloria Warner at Boofy Quimby Memorial Center. Last year, the event kicked off in the late afternoon at Ricker Hill Orchards when the family opened up their business to everyone at no charge for a family fun day, said organizer Rachel Pack.
The event also featured local band No Strings Attached at the pavilion, a bounce house, petting zoom, hot dogs grilled by the Boy Scouts, burgers and fries from the Turner Fire Department and food from Jasmine Cafe.
“When the sun set we all watched an amazing fireworks display,” Pack said. “It was a great kickoff to the July 4th Parade and Festival on the Green the following morning.”
