Memoir writing workshop to be held at Auburn library

AUBURN — The Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance will hold a workshop on writing a memoir 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.
Patricia O’Donnell, professor of creative writing at the University of Maine Farmington, where she directs the bachelor of fine arts program, will teach “Finding the Story Amid the Pieces” — a workshop focused on shaping memories into the narrative of a memoir or personal essay.

The MWPA offers two full scholarships for the workshop; one is intended for an Auburn Public Library patron; advance registration is required to attend.
