AUBURN — Central Maine Community College students Jamie Lyn Cormier of Auburn and Nathan Pineau of Bowdoin have been awarded the 2018 Spaulding Memorial Scholarships.
A high honors graduate of the general studies program, Cormier is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and is president of the CMCC Student Senate. This is the second year in a row she’s won the scholarship.
Pineau spent 17 years in education and social work before deciding to pursue a nursing degree at CMCC. He previously attended the University of Maine at Farmington and Augusta.
The college awards the scholarship in memory of Jason Spaulding, who was a student at the college.
