CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The Carrabassett Valley Library has added dozens of books across genres to its shelves this month.
It’s catalog is web-based, so it can be searched on any device with internet access.

Dozens of new books in Adult Fiction, include those by Maine mystery writers Lea Wait and Sandra D. Nealy, as well as best-selling authors Lee Child and Celeste Ng.
In Adult Nonfiction, new books include those by Dan Rather, Tyler Perry, and the best-selling account of the Osage Indian killings that helped define the FBI, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” by David Gann.
New audio books include “Bobby Kennedy,” by Larry Tye and more. In Young Adult, the provocative and timely “The Hate U Give,” by Angie Thomas joins a dozen other new offerings.
New Children’s books include picture books by Jan Brett and several titles by Maine authors, as well as mysteries, nonfiction and puzzle books.
There are also new DVDs, including several about survival, including “Alive” and “Into the Wild,” and five from ski and snowboarding filmmaker Warren Miller. Children’s offerings include “Minions.”
The library is part of the state’s interlibrary loan system, so it can borrow items it does not own. Other services provided are computers with scan, fax and print capabilities, 100 mbps Wi-Fi, children’s play space, magazines, newspapers, VHS tapes, music CDs, games, puzzles and access to free eBooks and Audiobooks with your free membership.
The library has a fireplace in the comfortable living room area stocked with magazines and newspapers.
