Maine’s economic drivers, challenges to be topic at Feb. 8 L-A Chamber breakfast

AUBURN — The LA Metro Chamber will host breakfast at Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch, 14 Great Falls Plaza, Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7 a.m.
This month’s speaker will be Yellow Light Breen, president and CEO of the Maine Development Foundation.
The topic will be “Leading for People, Leading for Prosperity,” and will focus on what research says about the big drivers of Maine’s economic challenges and opportunities.

Specifically, the talk will focus on Maine’s demographic cliff and what to do about it, how the state must transform the workforce to compete and prosper, and how leadership is needed from all levels and sectors to join forces around research driven approaches to the big issues.
