Tall Tales, Elvis impersonator shows set for Phillips in coming weeks

Jan. 182018

PHILLIPS — In another round of the last two year’s popular event, the Phillips Area Community Center, 21 Depot St., will present another evening of food, fun and laughter Saturday, Jan. 27.
The event, “True Stories and Tall Tales,” will bring together storytellers Winona Davenport, Tom Skolfield, Doug Dunlap, Paula Kane, Roger Lambert, Dr. Arthur “Art” Lage, and Niilo Sillanpaa, who will share their adventures, misadventures and more.

A potluck dinner will start at 5 p.m., with stories to follow. Admission is $5, or bring a dish to share. For more information and to indicate what dish you will be bringing for supper, call Winona at 207-639-4296.

For something quite new, PACC will host the Elvis tribute artist EP Rock Sunday, Feb. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. EP Rock does it all — both singing and dancing — performing Elvis’ songs from early to late in the King’s career. In addition, photos can be taken with “Elvis,” and the event is designed to be fun for all ages.

In case of inclement weather, the Elvis show will be rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 25. The cost for this show is $7 adults, $5 kids.
