State-approved CNA course to begin soon at MSAD 52 Adult Ed

Jan. 132018

TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education — serving Turner, Leeds, Greene and the surrounding rural communities — will be offering a state-approved certified nursing assistant course scheduled to start in late January.
CNAs are caregivers providing patient assistance with the activities of daily living and basic needs.

They also help patients feel safe and comfortable throughout their hospital stays. These direct caregivers spend most of their time assisting patients and listening to their concerns.

The State of Maine-approved CNA course is offered three times a year and includes classroom work, skills labs and clinical experience. The course runs for 11 weeks and includes 180 hours. Tuition includes texts, materials and fees. Upon successfully completing the course, students take the CNA state certification examination.

For more information about registration, course and lab fees, tuition assistance and other aspects of the course, contact the office at 225-1010. Registration is required.
