LEWISTON — Steven Dostie, executive director of the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, has announced the winners of the annual Cold Paws, Warm Heart fundraising raffle.
More than $9,500 worth of raffle tickets were sold, with all proceeds directly benefiting the shelter.
The winners are:
Garet Bottger of Topsham ($600 in home heating assistance); Gail Burgess of Auburn ($300 in home heating assistance); Mary Parker of Leeds, ($200 in home heating assistance) and Mary Ellen Taylor of Auburn ($100 in home heating assistance).
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, located at 55 Strawberry Ave., provides a safe haven for more than 4,500 sick, homeless and abused animals in the greater Androscoggin area per year. The primary support for the shelter comes from fundraising events and donations from individuals.
